Does GC offer DDOS protection and firewalled servers?

Would like to know if your servers are protected and how.

Also, can we access the server via secure shell and/or secure ftp.

 Shell is not provided to Shared hosting clients. FTP is handed out.

Our datacenter takes care of our firewalls. Please note we do not specilize in DDOS/DoS prevention as this is very costly. Your site will be taken down if it is the subject of a DDOS/DoS Attack.
